I saw this freeware app at Macworld yesterday. MediaCentral offers functionality and appearance similar to Front Row. You can control the menus with keyboard or with a ATI Remote Wonder.

New software program translates RGB information into musical information, allowing you to "play" pictures and videos by moving your cursor over them.
GUBA, an Internet search service that lets you search and view Usenet content, now supports RSS. You can automatically import more than 25,000 video files from Usenet into iTunes. IMHO, service looks promising, but is overpriced at $14.95/mo.
